Rebwar Taha and Yondam Kanna meet in Kirkuk.

Yonadam Kanna, former Secretary-General of the Assyrian Democratic Movement, commended Rebwar Taha for his notable role in administering the province and reinforcing the principles of peaceful coexistence.

Kanna highlighted that Taha’s prudent handling of issues concerning the province’s diverse ethnic and religious communities has helped strengthen a sense of citizenship among the people of Kirkuk, through improved service delivery and the promotion of equality.

For his part, Taha, First Deputy Governor of Kirkuk, expressed his appreciation for the visit and praised Kanna’s distinguished and longstanding contribution as an experienced statesman and a key figure in Iraq’s national political landscape. He affirmed that Kanna’s extensive political experience has consistently supported unity and stability.
