President Amedi Meets Parliamentary Legal Committee to Discuss Legal Reforms and Institutional Cooperation

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received a delegation from the Parliamentary Legal Committee.
Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received a delegation from the Parliamentary Legal Committee, led by Bahaa al-Araji, at Baghdad Palace on Thursday 23 April 2026 . The delegation congratulated the Iaqi President on his assumption of office and wished him success in carrying out his national responsibilities and serving the public.
The meeting addressed a range of key legal and legislative issues. President Amedi underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Presidency and the legislative branch, as well as enhancing coordination among constitutional institutions in order to support political stability and reinforce the rule of law. He noted that such efforts are essential for advancing reforms and further developing the country’s legal framework.
For their part, members of the Legal Committee expressed their appreciation for the President’s role in supporting the democratic process. They reaffirmed their commitment to improving legislative performance and to passing laws that serve the public interest.
