Vision Foundation Works to Strengthen Sulaymaniyah Economy

The Vision Foundation is preparing a scientific and field research on the economic, commercial and industrial sectors in Sulaymaniyah, for which they have started coordination with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the city.
The Vision Foundation announced in a statement that, the members of the Board of Directors of the foundation, visited on Sunday, 22 Februaru 2026, the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the request of Nawzad Ghafoor, President the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and discussed the preparations for the research.
According to the statement, the two sides discussed the coordination in order to conduct a detailed and effective research on the economic sector of the city and the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry assured to provide information and field facilities for its teams Research of our institution.
Through this study, Vision wants to identify the obstacles to economic growth in Sulaymaniyah and present the opportunities for its development.
Established in 2024, the Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies (VFSS) is an independent research centre founded by academics, journalists and policy thinkers. The Foundation is dedicated to promoting stability, democracy and prosperity in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq through evidence-based research, inclusive dialogue and strategic policy engagement.
The Vision Foundation aspires to a future in which the Kurdistan Region and Iraq flourish through strong governance, gender equality, meaningful youth participation and environmental sustainability. As a catalyst for positive change, VFSS seeks to inform public policy through rigorous research, foster strategic partnerships and contribute to building a just, inclusive and prosperous society for all.
