PUK's Saadi Ahmed Pire Meets Swedish Left Party Delegation in Erbil

PUK Politburo Member Saadi Ahmed Pire, Jonas Sjöstedt, Member of the European Parliament, and Yekbun Alp, a member of the Leadership Board of the Left Party.

Saadi Ahmed Pire, member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received a delegation from the Left Party of Sweden in Erbil.

The delegation included Jonas Sjöstedt, Member of the European Parliament, and Yekbun Alp, a member of the Leadership Board of the Left Party.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political situation in Iraq in general and the Kurdistan Region in particular.

Pire emphasised that the PUK seeks political and security stability across the region. He underlined the importance of further strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad in order to secure greater rights and entitlements for the Kurdish people within the framework of the permanent Iraqi Constitution.
