Iraqi President: Iraq is Working to Broaden Partnership With Croatia and EU Countries

Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid received Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić-Radman and his accompanying delegation at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad, where discussions focused on enhancing political, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting underscored the importance of increasing investment opportunities and encouraging reciprocal visits between senior officials from both sides.

President Rashid affirmed Iraq’s commitment to broadening its partnerships with Croatia and other European Union member states, noting that the country now enjoys security, political and social stability, and is preparing for new parliamentary elections aimed at strengthening democratic practice and ensuring the peaceful transfer of power.

For his part, Minister Grlić-Radman commended Iraq’s role in promoting regional and international stability and expressed Croatia’s interest in expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of investment, energy, education and cultural exchange.
