Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education Bans Smoking in All Universities and Colleges

The Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education has announced a ban on smoking across all universities and colleges.

According to the latest directive, smoking is strictly prohibited for teachers, employees and students. Those found in violation will face fines ranging from 10,000 to 25,000 Iraqi dinars.

The ministry stated that the decision aims to create a healthy, clean and smoke-free academic environment, while reducing the negative impact of smoking on the university community.
