PUK's General Studies Centre's meeting with Olof Palme International Centre.

Dr Yousif Goran, Head of the General Studies Centre of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Michael Hauer, Head of the Asia and Latin America Region of the Olof Palme International Centre, alongside Helan Sindi and Shorish Qadir Rahim, at the headquarters of the PUK Political Bureau in Sulaymaniyah.

The two sides discussed avenues for enhancing cooperation between the PUK's General Studies Centre and the PUK Cadre Education & Development Academy with the Olof Palme International Centre. They reached a consensus on expanding coordination to advance this objective.

The delegation conveyed their admiration for the work carried out by the PUK Cadre Education & Development Academy, emphasising that the Academy plays a pivotal role in training cadres and preparing them for responsibilities across the political, administrative, and social spheres within Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

Concluding the discussions, the two sides decided to formulate a joint strategic programme to guide their future collaboration.

The Olof Palme International Centre is a Swedish-based international organisation dedicated to promoting democracy and human rights worldwide. It also supports political parties and undertakes initiatives to foster peace, democracy, and equality.
