Iraq ranked as the second-largest exporter of crude oil to the United States last week, according to data published on Sunday by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
The EIA report indicated that total U.S. crude oil imports from nine key suppliers averaged 5.351 million barrels per day (bpd) over the past week—marking a decrease of 274,000 bpd compared to the previous week's average of 5.625 million bpd.
Canada remained the leading supplier, exporting 3.996 million bpd. Iraq followed in second place with 273,000 bpd, ahead of Brazil at 249,000 bpd. Colombia and Saudi Arabia supplied 179,000 bpd and 178,000 bpd, respectively.
Other exporters included Mexico (165,000 bpd), Libya (105,000 bpd), Ecuador (103,000 bpd), and Nigeria (85,000 bpd). Venezuela did not record any exports to the U.S. during this period.
