Two Drug Dealers Arrested with Large Quantities of Narcotics

Security forces have apprehended two individuals for trafficking significant quantities of crystal meth and marijuana.

A source from the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics within the Kurdistan Region Asayish Agency told PUKMEDIA: "In coordination with the Federal General Directorate for Narcotics Affairs, we successfully arrested two drug traffickers found in possession of substantial quantities of illegal substances."

The source confirmed that the joint operation led to the seizure of 62 kilograms of narcotics from the suspects.

Separately, the Federal General Directorate for Narcotics Affairs issued a statement announcing the arrest, stating: “In a targeted intelligence operation, carried out by the Karkh Narcotics Directorate in collaboration with the Sulaymaniyah's General Directorate for Combating Narcotics, two drug dealers were arrested in the north of the country. Authorities seized 41 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 21 kilograms of marijuana in their possession.”

The arrests mark a significant success in ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking networks across the region.
