Oil prices edged higher today, driven by tightening global supply and rising geopolitical tensions. Brent Crude rose to approximately $70.24 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was trading at around $66.74 per barrel.

The increase follows the imposition of fresh U.S. sanctions on Iran, which has reignited concerns over global supply constraints. A notable decline in U.S. crude stockpiles has further supported the upward momentum, prompting investors to close short positions and bolstering market confidence.

Nonetheless, analysts remain cautious. Ongoing worries about a potential economic slowdown and international instability continue to cloud the outlook for future demand.

For now, the oil market appears poised for continued volatility, with prices likely to remain sensitive to global policy shifts and investor sentiment.
