On Monday, April 14, 2025, gold prices in Iraq saw a slight decrease at the start of trading, with the price of an ounce falling to $3,231. Meanwhile, the value of the U.S. dollar also dropped, reaching 147,500 Iraqi dinars.

The local gold prices were as follows:

One mithqal of 24-carat gold: 776,000 Iraqi dinars

One mithqal of 22-carat gold: 711,000 Iraqi dinars

One mithqal of 21-carat gold: 678,000 Iraqi dinars

One mithqal of 18-carat gold: 582,000 Iraqi dinars

Alongside the gold market, foreign currency exchange rates in Iraq also showed notable values at the start of trading.

The current exchange rates are:

$100 = 147,500 Iraqi dinars

€100 = 165,250 Iraqi dinars

£100 = 190,000 Iraqi dinars

$100 = 6,900,000 Iranian Tomans

$100 = 3,730 Turkish Liras

These fluctuations reflect ongoing changes in both the precious metals and currency markets, which are key to understanding Iraq's economic outlook at the start of the week.
