Gold Prices See Slight Fall, Dollar Stable

Gold and dollar prices.
On Tuesday, 8 April 2025, gold prices in Iraq experienced an slight decrease at the start of trading. The price of ounce of gold dropped to $3,005.60. Meanwhile price of U.S. $100 remained the same at 147,850.
The local prices for gold were as follows:
One mithqal of 24-carat gold: 724,000 Iraqi dinars
One mithqal of 22-carat gold: 662,000 Iraqi dinars
One mithqal of 21-carat gold: 632,000 Iraqi dinars
One mithqal of 18-carat gold: 542,000 Iraqi dinars
Alongside the gold market, foreign currency exchange rates in Iraq also showed significant values at the start of trading.
The current exchange rates are:
$100=147,850 Iraqi dinars
€100=159,500 Iraqi dinars
£100=188,000 Iraqi dinars
$100=9,900,000 Iranian Tomans
$100=3799 Turkish Liras
These fluctuations reflect the ongoing changes in both the precious metals and currency markets, which are crucial to understanding Iraq's economic outlook at the start of the week.
