On Monday, 7 April 2025, gold prices in Iraq experienced an increase at the start of trading. The price of ounce of gold rose to $3,030, indicating a positive shift in the precious metals market. The local prices for gold were as follows:
One mithqal of 24-carat gold: 728,000 Iraqi dinars
One mithqal of 21-carat gold: 636,000 Iraqi dinars
One mithqal of 18-carat gold: 545,000 Iraqi dinars
Alongside the gold market, foreign currency exchange rates in Iraq also showed significant values at the start of trading. The current exchange rates are:
100 US dollars: 147,850 Iraqi dinars
100 euros: 159,500 Iraqi dinars
100 British pounds: 188,000 Iraqi dinars
100 US dollars equals 9,900,000 Iranian Tomans
100 US dollars equals 3,750 Turkish Liras
100 US dollars equals 1,000,000 Syrian Liras
