Iraqi Narcotics Director: Sulaymaniyah is Ideal

Iraq's Director General of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances praised Sulaymaniyah's efforts to fight drug  trafficking, stating that the province is ideal in dealing with the issue 

Dr. Bryar Rashid, an Iraqi parliament member from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) bloc, told PUKMEDIA that he met with Lieutenant Ahmed Zargani, Director General of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior's Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, to discuss a number of security issues between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

During their discussions, the Director General of the Iraqi Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances told the PUK bloc MP: "Sulaymaniyah province is ideal and is at a very good level in combating drug trafficking and we have good coordination with the security forces there."

"At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed on the importance of coordination to develop special plans, programs and practical mechanisms to reduce the negative impact on society in the future," MP Rashid said.
