PUK Files Lawsuit Against My Account Project in Baghdad

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) is taking legal action against "My Account", which is resulting in a halt to salary banking.

Dr. Biryar Rashid, a member of the PUK faction in the Iraqi parliament, informed PUKMEDIA: "Our faction has initiated legal action against my account at the Karkh court in Baghdad."

"The complaint pertains to the obstruction of nationalising salary payments for employees of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the coercion of these employees to open bank accounts in "My Account" at private banks, which contradicts the ruling of the Federal Supreme Court," stated Dr. Biryar Rashid.

"The court of inquiry acknowledged the complaint and initiated legal proceedings," he stated.
