President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Jalal Talabani announced that the PUK has yet to decide with whom to form the ministerial cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
In a statement to the media following his participation in the second day of the MERI Forum today, Wednesday, in Erbil, President Bafel stated: "The voices of Qubad Talabani and myself were fabricated." We will bring these voices to the most renowned worldwide companies to demonstrate their invalidity, and we will also submit them to the International Court to ensure accountability for those guilty.
President Bafel clarified that there is no entity known as "My Account," and it was not voted on in the Council of Ministers. He noted that while the matter was discussed, the decision regarding nationalisation lies with the Federal Supreme Court, and employees should have the freedom to choose how to nationalise their salaries without being compelled to use a specific bank.
Regarding the formation of the new government in the Kurdistan Region, President Bafel stated, "We have not yet decided with whom to form a government. We are monitoring the situation and are very pleased with what we have done," he said. "The Kurdistan Democratic Party has misunderstood; they need to come to us to understand what we are requiring of them," he added.
President Bafel's comments came after his participation in a panel discussion titled "Political Dynamic Developments in the Kurdistan Region: What to Expect in the Next Four Years" during the second day of the MERI Forum.
