Forming a strong government
"The PUK formed the Kurdistan Regional Government and established a democratic system in the Kurdistan Region. Additionally, The PUK has made efforts to provide high-quality services to the citizens," he added, "The PUK consistently aims to be a proactive contributor to resolving issues, rather than becoming involved in them."
According to Mustafa, The political situation in the Kurdistan Region requires rectification, as people are enduring poor living conditions and have lost their trust in the current political power.
He stated that the PUK aims to regain the trust of the people and rectify the direction of governance in the Kurdistan Region. Additionally, the PUK seeks to motivate the youth to contribute to their country instead of choosing to travel outside. "Our objective is to rectify the course through the electoral process and restore the effectiveness of institutions in carrying out their responsibilities and legal obligations," he continued.
The PUK is the only party that can make changes
According to Luqman Wardi, a member of the Leadership Council, who spoke with PUKMEDIA: "The Kurdish people have their hopes placed entirely in the PUK. Under President Bafel Jalal Talabani's leadership, it is playing a significant role today in helping the Kurdish people recover from the tragedies they have experienced."
He added: "The PUK plays a crucial role in addressing the unresolved issues between Erbil and Baghdad, always emphasising the imperative of safeguarding the rights of the people of Kurdistan in Baghdad. Following the fifth Congress, the PUK has established a clear policy and asserts itself as the sole defender of the rights and ambitions of the citizens. It believes that it is the only party capable of achieving the people's wishes."
Governmental institutions should serve citizens
Wardi further stated: "Governmental institutions should be national entities that prioritise serving citizens and creating an environment conducive to freedom for all sectors of society. This is achieved through the process of conducting elections, and our objective is to establish a government that caters to the needs of all individuals without any discrimination."
Elections are important
Wardi believes that the path of governance should be rectified through the process of elections, and emphasises the necessity of establishing a proficient parliament. The general public has great expectations for the PUK to successfully accomplish this task.
He stated that it is imperative to have a balanced government that effectively represents the aspirations of the entire Kurdish population. This is exclusively carried out by the PUK, a political party that consistently prioritises the welfare of the citizens before its own partisan goals.
