The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) is working on
improving the well-being of youth living in the disputed areas through its
participation in the Iraqi provincial councils. With this objective in mind,
the PUK is making efforts to increase the representation of its candidates
in the provincial councils, aiming to effectively cater to the needs and
interests of the youth.
The primary goals of the PUK's lists and coalitions are to
improve the welfare of young people and to facilitate employment opportunities
that fit their lifestyles. PUK's goal is to create a program that effectively
addresses the issue of youth migration in order to keep young people in their
home country, allowing them to use their considerable talents and abilities
domestically.
The PUK will provide a better life for the youthIn an interview with PUKMEDIA, Hassan Ali Rafiq, who is candidate No. 27 representing the "Kirkuk is Our Strength & Will Coalition," said: "The city of Kirkuk is currently facing a scenario characterized by inequity and injustice, particularly with regards to its youth population. Regrettably, the youth in Kirkuk are confronted with a lack of equal employment prospects, resulting in their disappointment with the local authority."
"Upon achieving victory in the Kirkuk provincial council election, our first objective will be to foster increased employment prospects for the younger population. Our efforts will be directed towards facilitating job creation by collaborating with firms to meet the employment demands of the youth and cater to their essential requirements. We firmly believe that it is imperative to ensure a higher standard of living for the youth, as it is their basic right," he further said.
The PUK is concerned about the younger generationThe PUK's agenda prioritizes the youth and the fulfillment of their needs, with a particular focus on improving their quality of life.
Hoshmand Hassan Rashid, candidate number 25 in the PUK list number 120, told PUKMEDIA: "The youth constitute the living class of society. As per our agenda, we will prioritize the involvement of young individuals in the domains of science, sports, and other relevant areas."
"From the Provincial Council of Diyala, we aim to provide greater support to the young people in the city; providing employment possibilities for them is one of our top priorities. We also wish to take the youth's demands seriously and carry them out, believing that they should have better lives," he added.
PUK's initiatives address issues facing young people
Significant numbers of young individuals in the province of
Diyala are unemployed. The PUK will devise unique strategies and initiatives to
address the issue at hand, as it considers young people to be the foundation and
future of society and believes that they are entitled to a better quality
of life.
Candidate No. 24 for the Alliance of the People of Nineveh
No. 134, Abdul Jawad Jamil Ahmad, told PUKMEDIA: "Whether they are
employed in government institutions or investment projects, we will support
initiatives that benefit young people and give them access to employment
possibilities."
"The next generation is the backbone of society, and if
they are given the support they need, they will play a significant role in the
advancement of this country and the raising of an intelligent and compassionate
society. If the majority of our coalition candidates win seats on the
provincial council, we will work to increase employment prospects for the
thousands of young people who have graduated from universities and colleges and
are unemployed in Nineveh Province," he further added.
The PUK has consistently demonstrated a vested interest in
the welfare of the youth population. The party aims to extend its services to
the youth living in the disputed areas through the Iraqi provincial councils.
The objective is to enhance their quality of life, recognize their inherent
potential and ability, and ensure access to employment opportunities and a
respectable standard of living. The PUK firmly believes that the current state
of neglect towards youth must be rectified.
Consequently, the PUK expresses its apprehension regarding
the prospects of the younger generation and pledges to implement comprehensive
strategies aimed at ensuring a satisfactory standard of living for the youth,
as well as effectively addressing their various difficulties.
