The Kurdistan Region's four major parties have agreed to amend the electoral law, reactivate the commission, and filter the voter list.

Rizgar Haji Hama, the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan's (PUK) Election Office, told PUKMEDIA that the four major parties in the Kurdistan Region had met today to discuss the upcoming elections and had affirmed their determination for a fair and transparent election.

Hama continued to state that the four parties—the PUK, the Gorran (Change) Movement, the Kurdistan Islamic Union, and the Kurdistan Justice Group—had agreed to amend the electoral legislation, reactivate the election commission, and then filter the voter list.

He also added that the PUK's stance on holding free and fair elections in the Kurdistan Region and providing the commission with time to clear voter registration was backed by the aforementioned parties.
