inSlemani, a platform for organizing festivals, events and activities in Sulaymaniyah, will hold the biggest New Year's eve festival in Sulaymaniyah.
The festival is the first project of inSlemani and is aimed at celebrating the New Year and spreading joy and hope among the people of the city. The festival is free of charge.
The streets of Sulaymaniyah are all decorated with colorful lights for the festival which will include music concerts, a zone for entrepreneurs to market their products, a game zone (street games): ball, lottery, circus, strength tests, fireworks... etc, as well as activities for children: balloons, face painting... etc.
In addition to welcoming the New Year and spreading joy, the festival has also created many job opportunities for the youth of the city and is an important support for entrepreneurs to sell their goods. The festival is also a great source to attract tourists to Sulaymaniyah and revive the Kurdistan Region's economy.
