“Shafafiat Project” uncovers Sulaymaniyah's revenues entirely

The second stage of the "Shafafiat" project will be to reveal all of Sulaymaniyah's expenses so that Kurdish citizens are aware of the truth, stated Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region. A spokesperson for Talabani added: "We hope that other provinces will also benefit from this incredible service."
Recently, the Deputy Prime Minister announced the start of an initiative called "Shafafiat," which means "transparency," and which discloses data and revenue from each administration department in Sulaymaniyah. The initiative is recognized as the first of its kind under the Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) rule for more than 30 years.
Through the Shafafiat project website, the general public and the media can access income and revenue sources of every administration department online.

The spokesperson expressed the hope that other provinces would profit from this incredible service.
The revenue sources won't be kept a secretQubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister, has worked on this project in prior cabinets, and he has also offered a number of other digital works for the benefit of the public.
"Employee registration in the biometric system, service projects, the digitalization of citizens' affairs in some offices, and a number of other comparable projects have been implemented," are examples provided by Samir Hawrami.
He continued:
Qubad Talabani stated that www.shafafiat.com is not only a website for information presentation but also for reformulating the economic, financial, and banking infrastructure. At the same time, there is transparency in the financial revenues of Sulaymaniyah, Halabja, Garmian, and Raparin.
Know the factsQubad Talabani stated in a recent video message while announcing the Shafafiat project:
"Our plans and projects do not stop here; the second step of our project is to publish all the expenditures of Sulaymaniyah with the utmost clarity and transparency, so that Kurdish citizens can compare the numbers and know the facts."
"It is true that we have implemented this project in one part of Kurdistan, but we hope that this project will not stop in this region and will be implemented throughout Kurdistan," he said.
Citizens can see the source of revenue as well as its hourly and daily amounts on the Shafafiat website, where data and information are constantly updated.
