President Bafel and Rayan Al-Kildani discuss efforts to form the new Iraqi government

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, received Rayan Al-Kildani, the Secretary-General of the Babylon Movement, at the house of Mam Jalal in Baghdad.

In the meeting, President Bafel highlighted the latest developments and efforts to form the next Iraqi government and said that "if we want to build a strong government and protect the sovereignty of the country, all ethnic, components and religious groups must be taken into account and have a role in the next Iraqi government, this is the peculiarity of Iraq, and everyone must be respected."

About resolving the issues and saving Iraq from this undesirable situation, Talabani said that "from the beginning, we are with compromise and understanding and believed in the language of dialogue, because we believe that this is the only solution and we must make national and responsible efforts to overcome problems and challenges."

In Iraq's Oct. 10, 2021, elections, the Babylon Movement secured four of the five quota seats reserved for the country's Christians in the 329-seat parliament.
