Al-Kadhimi stresses need to close ranks in the face of terrorism

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi stressed on Friday, the need to close ranks and not to underestimate ISIS terrorist gangs.

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Yahya Rasoul, said, "the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces followed with great interest the cowardly attack carried out by ISIS terrorist gangs on the village of Khidrjija near the Qarachugh Mountains, which killed a number of civilians and Peshmerga forces."

"While the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces mourns these righteous martyrs and offers condolences to their families and loved ones about this incident, his Excellency confirms that this treacherous attack will not pass without the just retribution of the terrorist criminals who committed this cowardly act," he added. 

Al-Kadhimi stressed that "the Peshmerga forces are within the national defense system and work side by side with their brothers in our valiant armed forces to secure cities and regions," stressing that "terrorist gangs, after they suffered major defeats in various regions of the country, are trying in one way or another to carry out treacherous acts after that they were unable to confront our security forces.” 

Al-Kadhimi also stressed the need to close ranks and not to underestimate the pockets of ISIS terrorist gangs.
