Qubad Talabani's message for PUK Martyrs' Day

On Sunday, November 21, 2021, Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, sent a message on the occasion of the Martyr's Day of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

The message of Qubad Talabani said: 

The PUK Martyrs' Day is a day of pride and remembrance of the sacrifices of our sons in order to consolidate freedom and liberation, a day in which we commemorate the memory of thousands of martyrs of the PUK who sacrificed their pure blood in defense of this land and this country.

On the PUK Martyrs' Day, the graves of our martyrs are our biggest identity, and on this day we renew the pledge and loyalty that we will protect our gains and work to improve the lives and living conditions of the honorable families of the martyrs.

On this honored day and as we renew the pledge to strengthen the ranks of the PUK, we also announce that everyone is before of a historic opportunity to restore the confidence of our people, especially in the post-election stage by adopting democratic methods to change in order to modify, develop and achieve greater gains for our region.

It is noteworthy that November 21, marks the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the new revolution's Martyrs' Day, the day of the martyrs of the new revolution who defended and obtained the legitimate rights of the people of Kurdistan. The PUK gave 26,000 martyrs to achieve the rights of the people of Kurdistan.
