Mala Bakhtiyar returns to Kurdistan Region

The leading figure of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Mala Bakhtiyar, a member of the Supreme Political and the Interest Council of the PUK, returned on Saturday, to the Kurdistan Region through Slemani International Airport, after a treatment trip in Germany.

He was received at the airport by the Governor of Slemani, Haval Abu Bakr, a number of party and government officials, members of the PUK Political Bureau, the veteran Peshmerga, and a large number of crowds.

In a press conference held after his return, Mala Bakhtiyar valued the masses who attended to receive him, describing it as a sincere and true love from them, stressing at the same time the need to protect the fate of the Kurdistan Region.

Mala Bakhtiyar was transferred to Germany for treatment after reports about him being poisoned. 

His health status improved remarkably after recovering in Germany. He can now resume his duties, according to a statement by his media office.
