Besaran Tofiq publishes book about Peshmargas' lives during wars

Besaran Tofiq, a Kurdish photographer, will publish the book 'From a Land of Fire,' which is about Peshmargas’ lives during the wars against Terrorists.
"The photojournalist book contains stories and photos that are a reminder of the wars against terrorism including the Ansar al-Islam war in Hawraman, Halabja, and Sharazwr," Besaran Tofiq said.
"The book also contains photos of the Fall of Mosul as well as the events of 16th October, and each photo is captioned with the specific date and explanation of the event related to the photo,” Tofiq added.
He continued, “the book also includes photos of ISIS occupation, displacement of citizens especially the Yazidis, the clearance of the areas from ISIS terrorists and the return of the displaced people to their lands.”
Tofiq indicated that the last section of the book includes photos from the funeral ceremony of late President Mam Jalal.
He also said that some of the photos were shown before, but some are not been exposed yet.
'From a Land of Fire' will be introduced on Sunday, 4/7/2021, at five in the afternoon at Ramada Hotel. The book will be distributed to the attendees free of charge.
