President Bafel and British Consul stress fostering ties between both nations

President Bafel's meeting with the new British Consul General Rosy Cave at Dabashan.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Rosy Cave, the newly appointed British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region.

Members of the Executive Committee Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmad and Aso Mamand both participated in the meeting. Cave was congratulated by President Bafel, who also offered her best wishes and sought her to use her role to help improve relations.

Both sides highlighted the importance of working together to uphold peace and sound governance in the nation as they spoke about the political situations in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, freedom of speech, and the battle against terrorism.

They also emphasized strengthening ties and the growth of collaboration between the UK and the Kurdistan Region in terms of cultural exchange.
