CTG welcomes an Italian military delegation

A high-level delegation of Italian soldiers in Iraq's Kurdistan Region was greeted by the Counter-Terrorism Group's (CTG) general administration on Thursday, December 8.

Director-General of CTG Wahab Halabjay thanked Captain Davida Tiano, Commander of the Italian Special Operations Team, and Colonel Orlando Mattia, Commander of the Italian Special Personnel in Iraq for their work in training the Peshmerga and CTG forces in the area.

The necessity to create a more supportive environment for enhancing contacts and coordination between the CTG forces and Italian troops for military training was also highlighted by both parties as they discussed security and military advancements.

Wahab Halabjay concluded by congratulating the new Italian force team and reiterating the CTG Forces' wholehearted support.
