Qubad Talabani receives US Consul General in Erbil

Qubad Talabani, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, received in Erbil, Robert Palladino, US Consul General in the Kurdistan Region.

Talabani praised Palladino for his role in strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and the United States during his duty in Erbil and wished him success in his future missions.

In the meeting, they discussed how to strengthen the private sector and reduce routine in the institutions of the Kurdistan Regional Government.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister discussed the government's plan to develop the private sector and stressed that the government's goal is to strengthen the economic infrastructure of the region and create more job opportunities for citizens.

Talabani said, "in order to reduce routines recently met with investors and currently working with government institutions to take necessary measures to reduce routine."

For his part, the US Consul General thanked Qubad Talabani for his assistance in strengthening relations between KRG and the United States. He also praised Talabani's efforts in combating domestic violence and defending the freedom of the press in Kurdistan.
