President Bafel: New Iraqi government must serve all Iraqis without discrimination

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Oleg Levin Vladimirovich, Russian Consul-General in the Kurdistan Region.

Vladimirovich's visit was due to the end of his tenure as Russian consul in the Kurdistan Region. In return, the PUK president praised him for his efforts and services in the past and wished him success in his future missions.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest political developments and steps to form the new Iraqi government, in addition to working to improve relations.

President Bafel Jalal Talabani explained the latest efforts for forming the Iraqi government, noting that real partnerships should be the basis of a new government

He also emphasized that all steps should be within the framework of law and constitution, and the rights of all parties should be protected.

President Bafel declared, "We are building a new government with our friends in Baghdad intending to strengthen the country's bases and expand services to the people."

"The new government must serve all Iraqis without discrimination," he added.
