Learn about the highest waterfall in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region

The Kani Best Waterfall in the Balakayti region of the Kurdistan Region is the highest in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

Its height is more than 36 meters, and temperatures do not exceed 26 degrees Celsius during the summer.

Kani Best Waterfall is located in a rugged area which has made it a destination for mountaineering teams and some tourists who prefer to approach and enjoy the cool waters of the waterfall.

The Kurdistan Region has many more waterfalls such as the Gali Ali Bag waterfall in Erbil which the Iraqi government had put its image on the 5,000 dinars bill in the eighties.
