5 Omicron cases recorded in Kurdistan Region

On Thursday, the Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region announced that 5 cases of the new mutant called Omicron had been recorded in the Kurdistan Region.
Dr. Saman Barzanji, Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Region, said during a press conference, "according to the laboratory tests, 5 cases of the new mutant Omicron were recorded, explaining that the infected people are from one family residing in the Duhok governorate, some of whom have returned from abroad recently."
"The patients were not admitted to the hospital because their health condition is stable," he added, stressing that "similar cases may be recorded in other governorates of the Kurdistan Region in the future."
