PUK's Political Bureau affirms support for disabled people

On Friday, the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan issued a statement commemorating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

"On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we extend our warmest congratulations and blessings to the people with disabilities, and we assure them of our full support," the statement said. 

"You, with your persistence and transcendence, can play an important role in serving our country and our people; we wish you a happy life," the statement added. 

For his part, Bafel Jalal Talabani said on this occasion that "the disabled people are living in a very bad situation, so we all need to defend their rights and work to provide a better life for them; it is our duty and we must do it."

He also explained that it is the government's duty to find a proper mechanism to help the disabled people  and to support them to have an important role the community.

Bafel Jalal Talabani congratulated the disabled people saying, "I absolutely believe in your capabilities, as despite the obstacles, you continue to participate in all the sectors in the community. For that, you deserve the warmest congratulations on this occasion, and I promise you that I and the PUK will be supporting you to achieve all your goals."
