On Wednesday, the Ashtar Foundation for Culture and Arts, in cooperation with the Slemani branch of Kurdistan Artists Syndicate, organized an art exhibition at the Slemani Museum under the name 'Peaceful Coexistence', in which 120 artists from different Iraqi provinces participated.
The exhibition displayed artworks that embodied the values of peaceful coexistence, prepared by a group of Kurdish and Arab artists.
The head of the Ashtar Foundation for Culture and Arts, artist Baqer Alwan, said, "the exhibition was named 'peaceful coexistence' because the entire art community rejects violence, sectarianism and anything that is against humanity," noting that "our message is humanitarian, and through this exhibition, we wanted to strengthen the ties of brotherhood between everyone."
"During our presence in this exhibition, we received a warm welcome from our brothers in the city of Slemani, the capital of culture in the Kurdistan Region," he added.
Alwan continued, "the exhibition was attended by 120 artists; half of them were from the Ashtar Foundation for Culture and Arts and the other half were from the Slemani branch of Kurdistan Artists Syndicate," announcing that the exhibition will last for three days.
