Iraqi President, National Project Leader discuss current situation in Iraq

On Thursday, the President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih met with the Secretary-General of the Iraqi National Project Sheikh Jamal al-Dhari. The meeting took place at al-Salam Palace in Baghdad.

During the meeting, the general situation and recent developments related- matters in Iraq were discussed.

President Salih spoke about the importance of having further coordinated efforts and joint action among the political forces in order to maintain national unity and promote peaceful coexistence.

Bringing the common positions together, in addition, to acting towards meeting people's demands, he continued, is a matter of critical importance for the Iraqi to have a free and dignified life and improve their living conditions.
