Iraq announces 889 new cases of Covid-19, 24 deaths

The Iraqi Ministry of Health confirmed 889 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, raising the total number to 2,082,061 in the country.

The Ministry also said that 24 more people died from the virus during the day, bringing the death toll to 23,844.

1,203 patients recovered from the disease bringing the total recovery cases to 2,046,224 in Iraq, the ministry added.

The new cases were recorded after 22,282 suspected cases were tested across Iraq during the past 24 hours.

The ministry also said that the total number of citizens who received the coronavirus vaccine has reached 7,545,538 citizens.
