Iraq announces 856 new cases of Covid-19, 17 deaths

The Iraqi Ministry of Health confirmed 856 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, raising the total number to 2,078,521 in the country.
The Ministry also said that 17 more people died from the virus during the day, bringing the death toll to 23,765.
1,423 patients recovered from the disease bringing the total recovery cases to 2,039,612 in Iraq, the ministry added.
The new cases were recorded after 19,924 suspected cases were tested across Iraq during the past 24 hours.
The ministry also said that the total number of citizens who received the coronavirus vaccine has reached 7,305,901 citizens.
