P.U.K 10:11 PM - 2021-11-20

On the occasion of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Martyr's Day, the Political Bureau of the PUK published a message, which reads:

The long convoy of our nation is full of sacrifices, and among this long convoy, the dozens-year-old station of the PUK has the lion's share. November 21 is the day of the PUK martyrs and the occasion for loyalty and honoring their memories.

This day is a symbolic day. It is the day of the execution of the martyrs, Khala Shihab and Anwar and Jaafar. The PUK gave martyrs in every day of the calendar of Kurdistan. Every inch of this homeland has been watered by the blood of a martyr from the PUK.

Every day and every place is a day and place of the martyrdom for the Martyrs' Party.

The record of the 46-year-old PUK and the new revolution of our nation is a comprehensive record that includes the map of the whole homeland, from Garmian to Kwestan, from Badinan to Soran, and to the whole of greater Kurdistan. The martyrs of the PUK in every part of our homeland remind us of the blood, struggle, and successful efforts of the PUK's struggle for liberation, democracy, and the right to self-determination.

These heroes, including known and unknown martyrs, martyrs with honored graves and martyrs with no graves, are witnesses of struggle, from the early stages of the revolution until the last stage of battle against terrorists in federal Iraq:

The martyrs in the battlefields for protecting the liberated regions, the martyrs of the courageous epics of peshmerga, the martyrs of prisons and those who died by execution, the martyrs of secret organizations and activists in the streets and neighborhoods of the cities. The martyrs of student demonstrations and young people against the fascist government, the martyrs of ousting of the Ba'ath army during the uprising and the liberation of Kurdistan and Iraq during the process of liberating in Iraq, the martyrs of terrorism, and the heroes of protecting Kurdistan and Iraq from the terror of al-Qaeda, ISIS, and their remnants.

In this book of pride of the Kurds, all Kurdish classes participated: The leader and commander martyrs, the women and girl martyrs of the organizations, the martyrs of the struggle of students, workers, laborers, and young people, the martyrs of the Ba'ath camps in Mosul, Kirkuk, and Baghdad, innocent victims and martyrs of Anfal and chemical attacks, Arabization, and expelling tell a great story of fighting and the survival of our people.

The PUK Martyrs' Day is a day of gratitude for the patience of martyrs' families, parents, sons, and daughters, sisters, brothers, and wives. It is the duty of the PUK and the government of the Kurdistan Region to provide them with more and more services. Today, many of the martyrs' generations grew up and are active in the party and government institutions. These generations can be both the fence for protecting the party of martyrs and the products of its struggle, as well as a lobby for protecting the rights, and the moral and physical name and fame of the honorable martyrs.

The PUK Martyrs' Day is a great opportunity to reaccelerate the struggle of the PUK and our people for the sake of rights on the road to liberation, justice, and democracy. It is the day of reigniting the PUK's struggle to gain the rest of our rights that our martyrs had shed their blood for.

Along with bowing our heads for the glory of the martyrs' party led by President Mam Jalal, we must also preserve our PUK's honor, and reaccelerate our duties to achieve more peace, freedom, democracy, and the right to self-determination.

The Political Bureau of the PUK
