PUK Martyrs' Day

P.U.K 03:37 PM - 2021-11-20

November 21 marks the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the new revolution's Martyrs' Day, the day of the martyrs of the new revolution who defended and obtained the legitimate rights of the people of Kurdistan.

The PUK gave a convoy of martyrs from the beginning of the resistance inside prisons to the stages of the new revolution, to the uprising and liberation from the chauvinistic Baath dictatorial regime, to the point of resisting the threat of terrorists of all colors and faces.

The march of the martyrs of the PUK is endless. When we look at the past, we find images, glories, and heroisms of more than 26,000 martyrs. The brave sons of the PUK who were martyred in prisons, battlefields, secret struggle, and operations inside cities, became an honorable example of revolution and died standing with their heads up high.

It is the day of the martyrs who died in the battlefields, the martyrs of the organizations, the martyrs of torture and executions, the martyrs with unknown graves, unknown names and the missing, the day of the martyrs of women and children, the martyrs of the chemical bombing, the Anfal operations and genocide, and the martyrs of religious and national minorities in our homeland who sacrificed their lives within the ranks of the PUK and the new revolution for the sake of the freedom and liberation of Kurdistan and our people against the fascist Baathists, the day of the martyrs who saved Kurdistan and humanity from the brutality of ISIS terrorists, and spilled their pure blood on the soil of Kirkuk, Khanaqin, Khurmatu, Gullala, Makhmur, and Shingal and Hamrin.

Salute to the PUK martyrs and all the martyrs of the path to freedom of Kurdistan and Iraq.
