UNICEF calls on governments to reopen schools for children

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) announced that about 1.6 million children in the world have dropped out of school since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic.
On Tuesday, the organization said that the pandemic has disrupted the education of children around the world, threatening to undo decades of progress.
UNICEF stressed that helping children resume their education is critical to protect their future, calling on governments to reopen schools for children.
