On Monday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi announced the beginning of the new academic year while indicating that long-term plans are being developed for the reconstruction of Iraq.

Al-Kadhimi visited Al-Aqeedah High School in Baghdad and rang the bell to start the new academic year, and stated, "I am happy to be among my students on the first day of the academic year. You are our future, and Iraq is prospering and developing. I advise you to study diligently because your labors today will reap the rewards of tomorrow."

"We are indeed going through difficult circumstances and challenges, but our people are strong. Your fathers and mothers are strong because they rise from the ordeal and continue so that your future will be better," he added.

He continued, "Do not listen to anyone who tries to plant sectarianism and racism in your minds, which means to hate the male or female student who sits next to you on the same trip due to their religion, nationality, or belief."

"Some evil people live until they separate you from each other, tell them we are Iraqis, we are all equal, and we are all citizens, we have rights, and we have duties," he added.

Al-Kadhimi affirmed, "Iraq is on the right path with you and your family. Today, we have set long-term plans for the reconstruction of Iraq, and God willing, we will overcome all challenges. The future is in front of you."
