"The brotherhood painting brings together models of folklore, the colors of the Iraqi national spectrum... from Kurds, Arabs, Assyrians, and Turkmen," stressing that "Kurdish dance is characterized, by its expression of the strength of the rock and the thinness of the clouds that hug the tops of the mountains."

Hemedad Lashkri stated that the Erbil Folklore Troupe was founded in 1979 and participated in the Babylon Festival three times.

"It has performed in Iraq, Arab and foreign countries, including Poland, Germany, the Soviet Union, Spain, Greece, Georgia, Bulgaria, and the UAE," he added.
