KRG Education: 50% of teachers received the anti-covid vaccine

The Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) called on teachers to receive the vaccine against the covid pandemic, confirming that schools continue to adhere to health and preventive instructions.
Alan Hama Saeed, Minister of Education, said during a press conference, that "the ministry’s policy is to continue school studies with adhering to health instructions, noting that the percentage of teachers who received the anti-covid vaccine is about 50%.
"The ministry has provided all kinds of vaccines, calling on the teaching staff to speed up their vaccination against covid, and also asked parents to cooperate by sending their children to schools wearing masks to ensure safety and health," he added.
School studies have recently resumed in the Kurdistan Region after they were in a continuous on and off state in the Kurdistan Region due to the covid pandemic since early 2020.
Kurdistan Region has so far recorded over 349,000 covid cases including more than 323,000 recoveries and over 6,000 deaths from the virus.
