During the hot seasons of the year, many people get sick due to the hot temperature, mainly children and babies who are more vulnerable to the disease.

Although it's normal for babies and children to vomit occasionally, it will last 1-2 days and isn't a sign of anything serious.

Meanwhile, the most common cause of vomiting in children and babies is Gastroenteritis. It is a short period infection of the gut usually caused by a virus, bacteria, or parasites that also cause diarrhea. The symptoms can be unpleasant, but your child will usually start to feel better after a few days.

The symptoms of Gastroenteritis can be:

Loss of appetite.

Diarrhea.

Bloating.

Nausea.

Vomiting.

Abdominal pain/cramps.

If the cause is just a normal sickness, the child should still be feeling well enough to eat, play and act normal. But if the child – for example, is floppy, irritable, or less conscious – they may be seriously ill and should take them to a hospital immediately.

A few tips to prevent vomiting and diarrhea in children:

1-Boil water before drinking.

2- Keep food in the refrigerator.

3- Wash the fruit and vegetables before eating.

4- Wash your child's hands regularly, especially after the toilet.

5- It is essential to maintain bathroom cleanliness.

6- Avoid using other's towels, flatware on children.

7- Avoid restaurants and street food.

8- boiling food, especially, meat can kill bacteria.

Don't ever use medical drugs without consulting a doctor because diarrhea and vomiting have various causes, and each one has a different treatment.
