Kurdish Girl saves spot among top students in Germany

Dlovan Mustafa, a 19 years old Kurdish refugee from Rojava (northeast of Syria), who has been living with her family in Germany since 2014, is one of the top students in the country.

 

Dlovan is a student in Abitur high school in Berlin. she is one of the top students in Germany.

 

The ISIS war in Syria caused the displacement of many Kurds in Rojava and Dlovan was among the thousands of refugees who escaped Syria.

 

In an interview with Berliner Morgan Post, she stated: “because of the war and bomb attacks in Syria we took refuge in Kurdistan Region and we were safe, but I could not achieve my goals and dreams due to my situation.”

 

“After reaching Germany I had many opportunities. Beside studying and learning a new language, I participated in a music training course and I learned how to play Violin,” She added.

 

Furthermore, she also stated that she is playing Tennis too.

 

Because of her high marks she can study in the college of medicine, but she did not mention which department she will choose. 

 

Dlovan has always been a talented girl, even before she reaches Germany, she knew Arabic and Kurdish languages. But now she also knows how to speak Germany, English and Italian as well.
